A group of environmentally-aware Crace residents came together recently to form a new conservation group that will carry out projects in parks and reserves in and around the suburb.
The Crace Landcare Group, which is kindly supported by the Ginninderra Catchment Group, aims to keep Crace beautiful by tackling a range of issues such as litter, weeds and water quality monitoring. The group is also looking at taking part in the annual Frogwatch census.
The group’s first working bee will be held on Saturday 18 October, with a clean up of litter at the Gungaderra Grasslands Nature Reserve boundary fence. The group will meet on Indi Close in Crace at 9am – for more information, please see theevents page.
The Crace Landcare Group will be officially launched at an event in November 2014. More details to follow soon.
